Privacy and cookies
Optional tracking stays off until you choose it. You can enquire without accepting it.
Who handles your information
Pine Lodge Studio is run by Alex Evoy in Carmarthen, Wales. Alex is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact alex@pinelodge.studio with privacy questions or requests.
Your choices
Open cookie settings to accept, reject or withdraw optional analytics and lead recognition separately. Advertising storage is always denied. Your choice is recorded in the first-party pine_consent cookie for 90 days. Theme preferences are stored locally when you choose a theme. Neither is used to identify a sales lead. If JavaScript or cookies are blocked, optional tracking stays off.
Analytics, only with your permission
Vercel Web Analytics measures page visits, referring sites and actions such as opening or submitting an enquiry. It does not use an analytics cookie. The studio also keeps an aggregate page-view and country tally; daily country totals are deleted after its existing daily report, while the running total remains. These figures estimate activity, not an exact number of individual people.
When configured, Microsoft Clarity records interactions such as clicks, scrolling and page engagement to help improve the site. Enquiry areas and form values are masked. Clarity uses _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (up to one day) to connect visits. We send its current Consent V2 signal with advertising storage denied. We do not load it on query-bearing pages. Microsoft’s privacy statement describes its processing; Vercel’s analytics privacy guidance describes its measurements.
Company and returning-lead recognition
With separate lead-recognition permission, Leadinfo B.V., based in the Netherlands, may identify the company network visiting this website, using network information including an IP address. This identifies some companies, not the individual behind an anonymous visit. Leadinfo uses _li_id (up to two years) and _li_ses (the current session); its form capture, screen recording and person-enrichment features must remain disabled for this site. See Leadinfo’s privacy policy.
If you enquire with lead recognition enabled, a random first-party __Host-pine_lead cookie can recognise this browser for 90 days. The cookie is inaccessible to page scripts; its server-side mapping links to an internal lead ID, not an email in a tracking URL. On a later visit, the studio records public page paths, source site, country when available, visit counts and last-seen time. Alex may receive a notification and review whether a personal follow-up is appropriate. A shared browser is not proof of who is using it. We do not recover your identity on another device or from an anonymous company visit.
If both optional purposes are enabled, Clarity receives the internal lead ID after an enquiry, not your name or email. Withdrawing recognition revokes the browser link. Rejecting optional tools does not stop you using the site or contacting the studio. No automatic marketing email is sent to you.
Browser storage
Leadinfo may use cookies or equivalent local storage under the _li_ prefix, with site-specific suffixes, for these same recognition purposes. Changing Cookie settings removes this site's accessible Clarity and Leadinfo identifiers and unloads their scripts. Cookies on a provider's own domain are controlled by that provider and your browser settings.
Enquiries and retention
We use your email, website, optional first name and message to answer your request and discuss work. This is for steps you request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to other enquiries. It is not permission to add you to a marketing list. Enquiries are delivered through the studio’s email provider, Spacemail, and stored using the existing Upstash Redis service when visitor intelligence is enabled.
The lead store keeps the latest 20 enquiries per recognised browser record for up to one year after the latest enquiry. Return events expire after 90 days. The current journey expires after 30 minutes without another page visit. Mailbox correspondence is separate; unsuccessful enquiries are reviewed for deletion after one year, while client and accounting records may need longer retention. The studio does not store raw IP addresses in its lead records, query strings, form contents in analytics events or a browser fingerprint.
Providers and your rights
Vercel hosts the site; the analytics, storage and email providers named above process information needed for their services. Some processing may take place outside the UK under the providers’ applicable data-transfer safeguards. Optional analytics and recognition use consent; hosting and security use our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Hosting providers may retain operational access and security logs separately from our analytics.
You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, object where processing uses legitimate interests, and request portability where applicable. Withdraw optional consent through Cookie settings; withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out. Contact Alex to request deletion from the studio’s records and relevant providers. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
