Apps built around your work
A custom web, Android or desktop app for a job that needs more than a collection of forms. I handle the product design and the build, with the scope agreed around the people who will use it.

Phone app · Public demo
Farmhand
Farmhand is a phone app for a smallholding’s daily jobs, animal care, garden and larder. Try the sample holding. The garden preview shows 3 planted polytunnel beds. Demo changes stay on your device and do not update a working farm.

Community platform · Public demo
Gwerin
Gwerin is a community platform for off-grid living that puts shared resources and day-to-day records in one place. You can explore it with demo data. The case study covers 2 example workflows: a swap marketplace and livestock records. The public demonstration is separate from private community information.

Your workflow comes first
You describe who does the work, what they use now and where it gets difficult. A community resource system, a field record or an internal workspace will each have different needs. We decide which actions matter before turning them into screens.
Where the app should live
A web app runs in the browser. Android and desktop builds can be a better fit when the work depends on the device itself or its local resources. The platform, offline needs and support arrangements are decisions for the brief, not features assumed to come with every build.
The difficult parts, agreed early
Accounts, payments, integrations and any AI features are scoped against the actual product. I also settle what happens when a connection fails, who can see each kind of information and what needs supporting after launch. The published starting price is £10,000; the requirements determine the project price.
Scope and starting prices
App & Product Build
£10,000+
A scoped web, Android or desktop app. Accounts, payments and integrations are planned around what the product needs.
The final scope and price are agreed before work starts. Extra requirements are scoped before they are added.
Before you enquire
How much does a custom app cost?
The App & Product Build starts at £10,000. The final price depends on the platform, workflows, integrations and the agreed launch scope. An idea is enough to start the conversation, and the build doesn't begin until the scope and price are agreed.
Do you build iPhone apps?
The published offer covers web, Android and desktop apps. A web app can work well for people on an iPhone, but a native iOS build isn't included in that promise. If you let me know which devices your users need, we can work out the right scope.
Can the app work offline?
Offline behaviour can be part of the brief. It needs clear decisions about what stays on the device, what can change without a connection and how updates get reconciled afterwards. It's not something to assume from a screenshot.
Are all the portfolio apps launched products?
No. Each case study says where it stands. Farmhand and Gwerin have public demos; the rest are labelled private beta, local demo or in development. Demo screens show the actual product work, not made-up customer or revenue figures.
Could an existing tool solve the problem instead?
Sometimes. Start with the job and the tools you already have. If the useful change is a website, an integration or automating one repeat task, that's a different scope from a new app.
