A deck that holds your world
I design custom card decks for creators, visitor attractions and independent brands. A subject people care about can become a collection they want to pick up and spend time with.

A whole deck, not a pile of pictures
I design the illustration, names, text hierarchy, categories and numbering together. Fronts and backs belong to the same collection, and the layout leaves room for the content people need to read. You can bring an existing identity or start with a new direction for the deck.
Built for the people using it
A visitor-centre collection, an educational deck and merchandise for a fictional world each need their own content and tone. Wild Wales is a six-card nature collection with field notes. Chronicards is a larger illustrated card system connected to a playable browser game. Both projects show the actual complete card faces.
Packaging and production
The agreed scope can cover box artwork and files prepared to your chosen printer's specification. Card stock, finishes, colour conversion, dielines and physical proofs are all checked with that supplier before production goes ahead. Printing, fulfilment and manufacturing costs sit outside the design service. A digital mockup is not a printed sample.
An optional life beyond the box
A collection browser, launch page or interactive showcase can give the deck a proper home online. A playable adaptation is a separate build with its own mechanics and testing scope. These are optional additions, not hidden requirements for a card design project.

Quote after reviewing the brief
Collectible and educational card decks, including art direction, complete card faces, backs and packaging artwork. We agree the number of cards, content, illustration approach, production files and revisions before work starts. Printing and fulfilment are separate.
The final scope and price are agreed before work starts. Extra requirements are scoped before they are added.
Before you enquire
What do I need to send for a quote?
The subject, intended audience, approximate card count and where the deck will be used or sold. It helps to have any existing artwork, writing and identity, your budget and target date. If you already have a printer, their production requirements are worth sending too.
Can you work with my artwork or characters?
Yes. The design can use artwork and text you have permission to reproduce. Before production starts, we agree what you are supplying and what needs to be created, including whether an AI-assisted illustration approach makes sense.
Does this include game design?
Not automatically. A collectible or educational deck does not need game mechanics. If you do want a playable game, we agree the rules, balancing, playtesting and platform separately rather than folding those into the illustration count.
Do you print and ship the cards?
This is a design service, so printing and fulfilment are separate. I prepare production artwork to your chosen supplier's requirements. Card stock, specialist finishes, colour proofs and delivery are all agreed with that supplier.
Can you design foil or holographic cards?
I can design with a specialist finish in mind, but the processes and artwork layers available depend on the printer. Any physical finish needs supplier approval and a proof. An animated shine effect on a website is not the same thing as a manufactured foil card.
